Hair Maintenance
Selecting the perfect hair extensions is just as important as maintenance is for your hair.
Understanding different textures and the required maintenance for each and every hair type allows for you to select the perfect hair extensions that work for you.
Caring for your extensions is the same as caring for your own natural hair.
Before installing, wash or co-wash your extensions, be sure to use cool or luke warm water.
Using our hair care products is best. However, you can utilize your own. Please refrain from using products with sulfate, alcohol or other harmful ingredients that may dry your extensions and/or your own natural hair.
(Please refrain from using small tooth combs that may snag and cause unwanted shedding of your virgin hair. Utilizing wide tooth combs and paddle back brushes while washing, detangling and styling your hair is always best. Always start from the bottom and work your way up when detangling.)
Applying deep conditioning and/or leave-in conditioning products will always help moisturize and keep your hair soft.

Curly or Wavy Hair will always need slightly more maintenance. If you plan to wear your hair in its natural textured state, you can always add a curl defining cream, and / or a mousse to prevent your virgin hair from frizzing.

We do not recommend cutting your weft, our wefts are double stitched and durable. However, if the weft is cut we cannot guarantee you won’t experience excessive shedding. You can purchase a weft sealer and by adding it to the cut wefts each time you reinstall your hair to protect your investment.

Always use a heat protectant when applying heat to your extensions.

Lash Maintenance
1. When applying mascara, apply to your natural lashes prior to your lash application. Avoid putting mascara on your mink lashes, as it can damage the quality of the mink hairs.
2. Occasionally your lashes may have a small buildup of glue after a few uses (between 2 and 4 applications). Be gentle and attentive when peeling off the lash glue so you are not pulling on the band of your lashes.
3. Be sure to remove any makeup from your lashes using a q tip and gently dabbing your lashes.
4. You can also clean your lashes by soaking a q tip in alcohol and gently rubbing the hairs of your lashes to remove any bacteria. You may also use a microfiber wand to remove any lint from your lashes as well.
5. After cleaning your lashes, utilize your complimentary mascara wand to brush your lashes prior to applying or putting them away. Between applications, be sure to keep your lashes clean and in your original lash box to maintain the quality and longevity of your Couture Beauty lashes.
